Patient Satisfaction

So how do these various technologies affect patient satisfaction?  A study involving over 5000 hearing instrument users proved that patients who wear advanced instruments experience significantly greater satisfaction than patients who wear traditional instruments. Why?  The author identified one primary reason: the advanced instrument users felt they received greater value for their hearing instrument investment. In other words, they experienced better performance relative to the price of their hearing instruments.  The research revealed three reasons for this perception of greater value.

Reason # 1

  • Advanced instruments provide much better sound quality than traditional instruments.  The components of advanced instruments are of higher quality than those of traditional instruments, and the sophisticated sound processing of advanced instruments results in more natural sound.

Reason # 2

  •  Advanced instruments are more reliable, requiring less repair service than traditional instruments. Advanced instruments have fewer parts and components than traditional instruments, resulting in less wear and tear and longer expected life.

Reason # 3

  • Most importantly, advanced instruments provide greater benefit in a wider variety of listening situations than traditional instruments. What does that mean?  Simply put, advanced instruments provide better hearing in noisy or difficult listening situations compared to traditional instruments.
